- Botox works by paralyzing the facial muscles so that wrinkles smooth out and do not become deeper.

- Botox is delivered by a series of injections via a tiny insulin syringe with a very small needle. Discomfort is minimal.
What to Expect
If you have never used BOTOX before, you may be wondering what to expect from a treatment session.
The first thing you have to do is relax. Just know that you are in very good hands, you have nothing to worry about.
Botox cosmetic treatment is what is known as a minimally invasive procedure. What this means is that when you come in for a procedure you will be in and out of the office in as quickly as 10 minutes.
All that we do is inject a small amount of the Botox solution into the affected areas around your wrinkles. We strategically place the injections where they will be the most effective. For example, if you are suffering from lines in the middle of your forehead we will inject a small amount of the solution into muscles that are located in the area known as the corrugator and procerus muscles. When this happens, the BOTOX Cosmetics solution will actually block the nerve impulses to these muscles. The blockage helps to decrease the amount of muscle activity that would normally occur in this area, which helps to lessen the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the brow. These are actual, noticeable results.
Important Information About BOTOX Cosmetic
As we mentioned earlier, there are risks that are involved with using BOTOX treatments. There can be some life threatening side effects. If you go in for treatment, and feel yourself experiencing problems with swallowing, speaking, or breathing you will want to get medical attention as soon as possible.
In the event that you experience any side effects at all, do not attempt to drive a vehicle or operate any other kind of machinery until you have been checked out and get a clean bill of health.
How Long Does it Take to See Results?
In most cases the Botox Cosmetic treatment starts to become effective within the first 24 to 48 hours. As the result of a series of clinical trials, the majority of the people that received the Botox treatment were able to see real results and see significant improvement at one week - or 7 days - while they continued to see furthering results for up to a month.
Some people are faster than others, but most people see results rather quickly and they continue to see results blossom for around 30 days.
Do The Results Last A While?
Most of the people who use BOTOX will be able to enjoy results for as long as 4 months. However, since everybody is different the results can vary. Anywhere between 30 days and 120 days is an expected amount of time.
